Khabar tv (Bureau). 7th Pay Commission: The wait of lakhs of employees across the country who are waiting for the increase in dearness allowance is going to end soon. The gift of increased dearness allowance from the central government will be released on this day. For your information, let us tell you that dearness allowance is increased twice a year by the central government.

Once it is decided in January and the second time it is implemented in July. But this time the month of October has come from July but dearness allowance has not been announced yet. However, this time it is being said that government employees are going to get the gift of increase in dearness allowance before Diwali.

Dearness allowance will increase between 3 to 4 percent -

There are reports regarding dearness allowance that this time the central government can increase dearness allowance by 3-4 percent. Government employees will get this gift before the great festival of Diwali. If you look at it according to the minimum salary, you will find that those with a basic salary of Rs 18,000 can see an increase of Rs 540 to Rs 720 every month in their pay.

For those earning a salary of Rs 30,000, if their basic salary is Rs 18,000, then the way can be cleared for an increase of Rs 9000 in their DA (dearness allowance). If there is a 3 percent increase, then an increase of Rs 9540 can be seen in it. On the other hand, an increase of Rs 9720 can be seen every month due to a 4 percent increase in DA.

When will the increased allowance be available?

Now the question arises that in which month's salary will the increased dearness allowance money be added? The very relieving news regarding this is that from July 1, 2024, government employees will get this increased dearness allowance as happens every year after the second DA hike.

Why dearness allowance increases twice a year -

To overcome the rising inflation, dearness allowance is increased twice a year and for this, if we look at the Dearness Allowance or Dearness Allowance at the current level, it covers one crore Central Government employees. At the same time, Dearness Relief (DR) is increased for pensioners. The last change in DA for government employees was in March 2024. At that time, the central government increased DA by 4 percent, making it 50 percent of the basic pay. DR was also increased by 4 percent for pensioners.
